This week Joshua looks a 1 Samuel chapter 28. Here we see that David has a third opportunity to take matters into his own hands to kill Saul and thus seize (by force) the throne that God has anointed him for 10 years earlier Joshua then encourages us to look to Jesus the true anointed one who (like David) was tempted, rejected but did not take the opportunity to seize His kingdom, but instead opened his hands in submission and gave his life for us.
